Ballast Point Pumpkin Down Commercial Description

“Some might think we’re out of our gourd for making a pumpkin ale, but our Ballast Point Pumpkin Down is not like the others.  The caramel and toffee maltiness of our Piper Down Scottish ale is the perfect backdrop for a boatload of roasted pumpkin. Just before bottling, we add a subtle amount of spice to complement, but not overwhelm, the earthy flavor. It was a smash at the brewery, and we think you’ll agree.”

A pumpkin ale that bucks the trend.

Ever have a scotch ale? The effects are no joke. Scotch Ale is a beer for beer lovers to appreciate the aroma and experience the very act of drinking. One of our tasters described the beer as “for old men while smoking a cigar.” You will love or you will hate this beer in the same spirited debating fashion of “is the dress blue and white or black and gold?” (for the record, blue and white) This is the type of beer that has two phases. One phase is drinking Ballast Point Pumpkin Down in a snifter sitting in the back porch while it’s raining, thinking about a bunch of stuff you have no intention of doing anything about at that exact moment. Thoughts about your retirement fund, anxiety over wedding gifts to purchase, and overall fears about not living up to your potential will plague your mind. Phase Two is walking around your home in a bathrobe, swilling said snifter, and yammering on and on about your childhood to anyone present in the most torturing manner possible. Have enough of these, and you will no doubt succeed in recreating the label art in your own home.
