I‘m a huge, huge horror movie fan, and I have been ever since I was young. I recall going to see horror movies in the theaters with my mother. Movies such as Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight and Event Horizon. Just basic horror movie trash that happened to be in the theaters.
We also had plenty of movies on VCR tapes in these plastic drawers with plastic stickers of fake wooden paneling on them under a giant VCR unit on top of our TV. And they weren’t just horror movies. The Hobbit and The Gate. Indiana Jones and Willow. Creepshow 2.
I still clearly remember the plot lines of Creepshow 2.The movie was comprised of three mini tales- a Native American wooden statue avenging his owner’s murder, a hitchhiker who would not die, and finally a large black blob in a swimming hole that eats unsuspecting teenagers.
In typical horror movie fashion the teenagers pay no attention to the sign forbidding them to enter and they dive into a small lake, swimming out to a raft. And (of course), that’s when the trouble starts.
A large oily black blob of certain death makes its way across the calm water and begins to digest the first unsuspecting teenager, so the others swim up onto the wooden desk, hoping to escape the black hole’s certain death.
I’ll make a long story short: Nobody lives.
Defiant Brewing Company Headless Horseman Pumpkin Ale is thick…like death.
Ok, it’s not really that thick, I was just exaggerating. But Headless Horseman Pumpkin Ale is in fact syrupy. It’s an interesting mouthfeel- thick and molasses-like. And dark in color. It’s definitely an enjoyable beer- with its clove aroma, and “Rum pie pumpkin flavor” according to one taster. Overall Defiant Brewing Company Headless Horseman Pumpkin Ale does not disappoint- and it leaves a statement on the back of your tongue, even after a swallow.
