Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale Commercial Description:

“Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale is the Autumn Seasonal of Departed Soles Brewing Company, brewed with 156 pounds of pumpkin puree, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, pumpkin spice, sorghum, hops, water and dry yeast…a list that is 100% Gluten Free. Scary for a beer that is good, huh? We wont lie to you, many pumpkins were harmed in the making of this light ale, contributing to Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale’s tight orange hue and an aroma that reminds you of a pumpkin pie, all while not being overly aggressive on spices and palate, With Warm Regards and Cold Beer, Brian.”

Look at the suds
look how they froth for you
and all the things you do
cause you were all yellow.

I came along
I wrote a song for you
and all the things you do
and it was called yellow.

This has to be the yellowest pumpkin beer of all time. It’s so yellow, when the waitress handed me my draft, I questioned if it was the correct beer. Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale has to be the hoppiest palest beer I’ve ever had- I wasn’t expecting any hoppiness at all but upon first taste I realized how wrong I was. Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale possesses a strong aroma- you can definitely smell the hops. The mouthfeel is complex, sprinkled with wheat. There is not much pumpkin flavor. Departed Soles Ghost of Pumpkin Passed Pumpkin Ale almost reminds me of a Blue Moon in the taste department actually- it’s got that lemon-orangey taste. Overall, a great beer from a new brewery that I would drink again.

But get a new label!
